Consume these thoughts as tongues do malts
And caught there they cough like newborn faults.
Whose fault' the fool’s drenched with uncanny rain.
Drip drop, drip drop these thoughts melt upon the picture frame.
My darkest the darkest.
This lead the sparkles, and roll off the tongue like unknown names.
Colorless the flames.
Names unchanged by journeys insane.
Silver I am the moon and as curtains do I wane and wax upon the stage.
Drift and draft they stumble on the cliffs.
From the canvas voice they are now uncommon.
Strangers in the night from friends to myths,
My thoughts are aspirations from kings to shamans.
These thoughts exaggerated as if sands evaporated.
And from that steam cleans obvious things dry and saturated.
From springs spring life in the season of leaves,
While thoughts cling to things to give a meaning it seems.
Thus thoughts wonder to give a screening to dreams
And chimes as it leaves to make wise the meaning it brings.

Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!
This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.
The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

good poem A
Adero
this poem really has a ring to it, i like how you used repetition in sound. (consonance). i love the mood of the poem and how it changes from dark, to light. the poem actually brings out the title to the poem these really are JUST thoughts!
