Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!

This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.

The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

Reflection

Self reflection is the key to success
Because only then at this time we are able to reminisce and let these subjects digest
We then at this develop our sense to manifest
And then and only then we will be able to prosper
Prosper the things that we can only imagine
But only when the reflection process is done we will be able to make these things happen
Instead of rushing for the things that are short lived and agree to the things that are short term
If we improve ourselves we will be able to create a base structure that will hold steady and firm
Before we look ahead e must already have our future in sight
So then we can accomplish anything using all our might
Instead of creating a fence we should create a road that improves our intelligence
It’s true that we create our own paths based upon the actions
However by reminiscing we do not build that path we simply visualize this road until we reach satisfaction
Because only then will this well thought out plan take effect and make happen what we want to make happen
So while many carelessly say that things never change
Try my method to help improve and open the paths in your membrane

I like the fact this poem states we need to work on ourselves as a society.
