So He Said
So he said,
Are you ready?
When you hear these words
Your body stands still
Your heart is racing
And your fingers are trembling.
In the back of your mind you want to say no,
But instead you follow what’s in front of you.
Your heart says no
But your mouth says yes
From the abundance of the mind the mouth speaks.
Time on in, things are still the same.
We make love
But we have yet to experience what love really is.
So until then you are filled with lies until the truth is shown
Months on in you feel used and alone
You and he have grown
But the love is
Still Not Known.
You finally know the truth
It’s stuck in your head and when you ready to end all your hear is
I Love You Baby!
Hmm…So he said

Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!
This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.
The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.
