Other days,
when i look into the mirror I see
my uncles strong jaw and serious facial structure
reminds of the obstacles of which i cannot overcom
which currently does not exist
his facial structure determined and focused
to overcome
which completes and represents our common ground

their common ground is there ancestry and the blood lines they share. auriol uses figure of speech in this poem.
i like this poem because the author describes what they see in their face that reminds thenm of other family members
