Living is better than not breathing,
Alive in the morning, then dead by night.
Memories, Emotions, and Senses
Blank, Motionless, Expressions.
Child, Teen, Adult
Happy, Depressed, then Stressed.
Death is imminent, so make sure your time is well spent
In a world where a 1/10 of a second is To Be Or Not To Be….existing.
Silent cries, Mute screams, Why or How could this happen!
Live life careless, or embraced full of dreams, just know when time comes to clocks end there is no rewind nor restart, It’s just darkness from then on.
So live life with a flashlight or a string of guided flight, for when time comes you can see, and hold on to a memorable life.

Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!
This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.
The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

i love this poem!
it seems depressing at first, but it says a lot to me.
Love the poem Roderick, especially the allusion to Hamlet! And, the line, "A string a guided flight", is this a metaphor for life as a kite, or freedom? flying? hummm.

Roderick you got deep!! i like this poem!!! when u said "So live life with a flashlight or a string of guided flight, for when time comes you can see, and hold on to a memorable life" that stuck out to me because its a good allegory. this poem does say alot :)

This poem shows various poetic styles. The poet shows his poem through paragraph form.I feel like this poem is vary expressive and it has a more deeper meaning. He uses various oxymorons, such as SILENT CRIES,and MUTE SCREAMS.He also uses a pun when he says: JUST KNOW WHEN TIME COMES TO CLOCK END THERE IS NO REWIND NOR RESTART.

i love this poem because the figure of speech really stands out. i noted the oxymorons "silent cries" and "mute screams". both of these oxymorons intertwine and to me they really represent life and death. what this poem says to me (not to alter your meaning) that most people that suffer now-a-days are to worried about when their time ends rather than trying to enjoy the life they have.
