A man dehumanized when stripped from his life,
Stripped from his children and stripped from his wife.
With nothing to own but his cot and his might,
The bars of the cell tell him this isn’t life.
This isn’t right,
How can a man be a man when he can’t see the light.
No visions in sight of good times with his family,
The only question in mind is, “What is my destiny?”.
He refuses to let being cage be his ecstasy,
A man must not loose his pride or integrity.
So he prays for the day that the judge says “let him free!”,
So he can be the man that he doesn’t want to be but be the man he has to be.
He will do his best when he’s freed and live a life with satisfactory,
Above it all and never only average like the letter C.

This poem was hot. The rhyme scheme u used fitted this poem perfectly. I would love 2 read more from u.
Pretty Good. Everything rhymed and i can see a few of the poetry terms used. This poem made me really think beyond what was being sayed. I love poems that do that, make you think beyond your imagination.
