Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!

This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.

The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

Living Wondering Soul

Souls in an empty cemetery
My life is at risk

Bending down on one knee looking
Looking for that special kiss

As the colorful leaves walks to me
And talk to me

Telling me to live lost love
I see the spirit rising from above

I felt the hand that touch my shoulder
That’s when I pray to god for a

Life that’s stronger
I left a note behind for friends

Telling them my life has now come to
An end
