Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!

This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.

The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

The Truth

As we gaze into each others eyes
of lies,
We realize we need to unlock the binds and ties.
Deep down we feel we need each other but in reality we
don’t or we just won’t allow ourselves to.
The love is not there or we just don’t care enough to address it.
And that’s when it all ends.
But in the end, you always know the truth.

you use consonance when you say "As we gaze into each others eyes
of lies,
We realize", you tone of the poem was being serious loving this person so much that you want them to kno if it doesnt workout they will know you love them
