As the sweet, delicate as silk, rays of honey
Pour into our room
All that I can remember is that one moment,
Not even the times of joy that once bounced
In,
But of the war that waged upon our hearts,
The war torn victims, the reason why
Our bickering, screams, yells, yelps, throwing, throbbing, pain,
Definitely outweighed the moans,
The laughter, the smiles, the love.
So, walking from the doorway
To the window
Peering out unto the city, this BIG
Gargantuan city, that really comes to life,
At night.
However at sunset, it amazes me how
Vibrant, and colorful, it is, remembering why we chose here,
And how perky people have become
Granted it’s a Friday at 6:30pm,
And even the streetlights seem to be bouncing and jumping for joy
Turning around, to our, once “happy” home, the
Drapes even seem to be drooping in agony.
The only sweet thing about this room, are the honey rays…
It’s quite alright though, only for the simple fact, that
These honey rays, are like a drink of refreshing water, to remind myself,
That things happens,
These honey rays, are washing my face away of
The dirt, pain, and agony, and replacing it with silky goodness,
Our experience, has made me wonder, were we that…
Interestingly… Boring…
That we fought, and let the flame burn out prematurely, our once explosion of love was like the nuclear bomb on Hiroshima,
It exploded, and dissipated, killing everything that may be… that was us.
It is alright though, only because I know,
I wasn’t the boring one. So these honey rays,
Sweet, delicate, honey rays
Is washing me away of you…. And carrying me, far
Far far far away, from this war-torn room, home, and heart,
That you tried to claim.
