Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!

This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.

The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

Introduction To Poetry (continuation)

they beat and beat it
not realizing it wont crack
it wont break because they are not inside of it
just like the author likes it

no confession
they whooping does nothing
take off your shades and pretty clothing
for it helps you see and feel

now juimp into its water and swim
you might not want but open your eyes
swim and see until you reach the end
explore the surface
the heart of the poem
no matter your motivation
whether you'd give your right arm
to find its meaning
you follow the authors vision
and swim

this is a good poem because a lot of people do not know about poetry and this is a good way to introduce them to it and it gives them an example of a poem
