Welcome to the Kenwood poetry blog!

This blog showcases the original poetry of some of Kenwood Academy High School's Senior Class.

The diversity of the student body is mirrored in the diversity of the poetry; some poems are lighthearted and others are quite personal and serious. While the poems incorporate a variety of styles and themes, they are all inspired by the poetry that we've studied in class.

L. O. V. E

Love is the best feeling ever
Love can be heart breaking
Love is wanted by all
Love is feared by many
Love can be your best friend
Love can be your worst enemy
Love is crazy
Love come first before all
Love make you do things you would never guess
Love is blind as a bat
Love is powerful as a lion
Love is grown not made
Love comes fast, but love leaves slow
Love never dies just gets shorter
Love never lies
Love makes you cry
Love is always true
So should you ever give up on love?
Have you already tried to give up on love?
Have you blamed your pain on love?
How do you know when you love?
What makes you love?
How do you know when you are loved?
Do you even know what love is?
Love is what you make of it, or what you made of it
Once you lose my love, it will never return

I liked this poem a lot. I saw imagery "blind as a bat" and simile "blind as a bat" Good Job!
